Unlocking 8830 world phone for a rogers sim!

I am new to this site and it seems to be pretty pimp, i was wondering if anyone could give me some insight about unlocking (sim) a 8830 blackberry for use on rogers wireless (in canada).. thankks!

why would you want to use crap ass Rogers service??? If you got your World from Telus then stick with Telus

See if ur old service provider can unlock it for u. I know T Mobile will do it for free if thats ur provider. If not u may have to look for a cellphone shop that unlocks phones. Don't know the cost in Canada but in the U.S. its between $5 to $20 dollars. Hope that helps

I have the exact same phone and mine is unlocked. Trust me, you can try all you want but you are missing frequency bands. If that doesn't convince you, then use MFI loader to unlock your phone. I know it will work because I unlocked mine. Let me know if you need the program.

Have you heard about online unlocking service provider?
It's the best way to unlock your mobile phone.
Recently i unlocked my Rogers locked Blackberry mobile using Prounlocking.com They provided my unlock code with step by step unlock instructions via e-mail.So i easily unlocked my mobile within a day.
