The following are possible resolutions for this issue.
Cause 1
A problem occurred with Microsoft Windows Installer.
Resolution
From the Microsoft Support Knowledge Base Download Center, download and install Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Uninstall and re-install the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
The antivirus software on the computer has automatic script-blocking enabled.
Resolution
Disable the automatic script-blocking in the antivirus software.
Uninstall and re-install the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Note: Disabling the antivirus software does not automatically deactivate automatic script-blocking. You must specifically disable script-blocking to avoid any interference with the installation process.
