[fontads]a) Download and install the RIM JDE( Java Development Environment)[/fontads]
This software requires the sun Java SDK, so
[fontads]b) Download and install the Sun Java SDK.[/fontads]
MAKE SURE YOU GET THE SDK! *NOT* THE JRE!
Once both are installed, download the midlets you wish to put on your blackberry. Midlets are BOTH a .jar and .JAD file.
[fontads]c) For ease of use, move the JAD and JAR files for each midlet [/fontads]you want to convert to the BIN directory in the RIM Java Development Environment directory on your hard drive, for example:
c:\program files\Research in Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.2\bin\
Using RAPC.exe in DOS, convert the midlet to a COD as follows, all on one line (might be easier to make a .bat file out of this)
[fontads]d) rapc import="c:\Program Files\Research in Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.2\lib\net_rim_api.jar" codename=virca -midlet jad=Virca.jad Virca.jar[/fontads]

[fontads]jad only support download cod that install your bb via ota, but it dont convert to cod.[/fontads]Author:

use only Jar to cod if it's too large file to run directly the jar file within your BB., otherwise not much need to convert jar to cod anymore since jar install is easir and faster too.
for those who still don't know just simply copy the jar file into your bb micro sd then disconnect to pc and just open and run the jar file (don't worry about the download button it doesn't really use air time, it just unpacks and installs the application)Author:

Many jar cannot move directly on bb, this involves key, size, etc.Author:
